CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – UW-Eau Claire junior wrestler Andy Miller (Jr.-Appleton, Wis./North) has recently been recognized by the National Wrestling Coaches Association as a Scholar All-American.

To be eligible for recognition, a wrestler must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and either be a national qualifier with at least a .500 overall record, finish fourth or higher at a qualifying tournament and hold a .500 record for the season, or have a .670 overall record and competed in at least half of their team’s scheduled events.

Miller qualified for the honor by holding a 3.20 cumulative GPA and also finishing third at 133 pounds at this season’s Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship. He was also eligible for the honor for holding a 17-12 overall record this season.

The NCAA Division III Wrestling Coaches Association Honor Committee selected the NCAA Division III Wrestling Coaches Scholar All-Americans during the NCAA Division III National Championships last weekend.
