DITTRICH NAMED NCHA WOMEN’S HOCKEY PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MENOMONIE – UW-Eau Claire women’s hockey forward Beth Dittrich (Fr.-Roseville, MN) has been named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Player of the Week, it was announced today by NCHA sports information director Layne Pitt.

Dittrich scored four points in three games as the Blugolds went 2-1 versus the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). In a 4-2 victory against St. Catherine Dittrich scored a goal at 7:43 and added an assist at 16:11 of the third period to secure the win over the Wildcats. In a 6-1 victory at St. Olaf which snapped the Oles’ six-game unbeaten streak Dittrich scored a power play goal, the only power play goal scored by the Blugolds this week, at 13:10 of the first period and assisted on a goal at 0:55 of the second period to come away with the big road win. The six goals scored against the Oles was the most by a Blugold team since a 7-0 victory against St. Catherine on February 3, 2006.
