SIX NAMED TO NCHA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
RIVER FALLS - Six members of the UW-Eau Claire women's hockey team have been named to the 2004 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic team, it was announced by conference sports information director Jim Thies.
Forward Connie Cameron (Sr.-Chippewa Falls) earns her third All-Academic distinction. Cameron carries a 3.50 grade point average and is a psychology major.
Forward Sarah Zollars (Sr.-White Bear Lake, MN) joins Cameron on the team for the second year. Zollars is an elementary education major and carries a 3.19 grade point average.
Amanda Schultz (So.-Stevens Point/SPASH) earns her first All-Academic honors. Schultz is a special education major with a 3.97 grade point average. She also co-led the Blugolds in points during the season with 16.
Goalie Tara Berlute (Jr.-Bloomington, MN/Holy Angels) also earns academic honors for the first time. Berlute is a psychology major and carries a grade point average of 3.31.
Forward Jessie Boyles (So.-Prior Lake, MN) joins the All-Academic team for the first time. She currently carries a grade point average of 3.54 as a Kinesiology major.
Megan Christopherson (Sr.-Stillwater, MN) was also named to the team for the first year. She is a communication disorders major with a 3.00 grade point average.
