WOMEN'S HOCKEY WINS AGAIN, SHUTS OUT LAKE FOREST
LAKE FOREST, Ill - The UW-Eau Claire women's hockey team won its fourth game of the last five and shut out Northern Collegiate Hockey Association opponent Lake Forest for the second straight night, topping the Foresters 1-0 here tonight at Alumni Memorial Rink.
The Blugolds improve to 6-8-1 overall and 2-6-0 in NCHA while the Foresters fall to 2-14-1 for the season and 0-8-0 in NCHA play.
Eau Claire scored the only goal of the game at the 14:15 mark when Allison Timberg (Fr.-Minnetonka, MN) dished a pass to Allison Campbell (Fr.-Plymouth, MN/Wayzata) who shot it past the Lake Forest goalie for the game-winning goal.
Sara Steinhoff (So.-West St. Paul, MN/Henry Sibley) played all 60 minutes in goal for the Blugolds and made 10 saves.
The Blugolds used a 34-10 shot advantage to earn the victory.
Eau Claire will resume action this Wednesday when they host St. Catherine at 7:05 p.m. at Hobbs Ice Arena.
