SOFTBALL POSTPONED TODAY

The WIAC softball doubleheader, scheduled today at Superior between UW-Eau Claire and UW-Superior, has been postponed because an overnight rain in Superior left the field unplayable.

The two teams will make up the twin bill at 3 p.m. Friday.

As a result of the postponement, the Blugolds get a one-day break in their conference schedule and will travel to UW-River Falls for a pair Wednesday. The Blugolds are 6-2 in the conference and 21-7 overall after splitting a twin bill at UW-L a Crosse Monday.

This weekend, the Blugolds will play three consecutive days to complete their Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference schedule before the conference tournament takes place May 2-3 at Stevens Point. After going to Superior Friday, the Blugolds will host UW-Stevens Point at 2 p.m. Saturday and UW-Whitewater at noon Sunday. Both doubleheaders will be played at Gelein Field in Carson Park.
