PLANERT NAMED THIRD TEAM ALL-GREAT LAKES REGION

COLUMBUS, MO - UW-Eau Claire shortstop Emilee Planert (Jr.-Eau Claire/North) was recently named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Great Lakes Region Third Team.

Planert led the Blugolds in batting average (.426), on-base percentage (.450), hits (40) and triples (1) while finishing second in runs (16), slugging percentage (.564) and stolen bases (5) in 2003. The honor marks the second consecutive season that Planert has been named NFCA Third Team All-Great Lakes Region. Planert is also a two-time First Team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selection at shortstop.
