TRACK AND FIELD SET FOR HOME INVITE

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The UW-Eau Claire men's and women’s track and field teams will compete in their second indoor meet of the season as they will host the 2008 Blugold Open to be held Friday night at the Ade Olson Addition of the McPhee Physical Education Center.

The Blugolds began their season last weekend at the Badger Classic held in Madison. While neither team had any top finishers, the men had a good number of third through tenth place finishers while the women had many fifth through tenth place finishers.

The Blugolds were very successful in last year's Blugold Open. The men took first place with 204 points while the women finished second with 119.

Field events will begin at 3:30 p.m., while the running will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday.
