April 17, 2006 - April 23, 2006


Field: Al Oleson, Jr., Wausau, WI/West

Oleson won the hammer throw with a season-best effort at the Phil Esten Challenge hosted by UW-La Crosse. Oleson won the event with a NCAA provisional qualifying toss of 171-9 (52.36 meters) out throwing his next closest competitor by over eight feet. Currently Oleson ranks 17th nationally in the hammer throw.


Track: Ted Lillie, So., North St. Paul, MN

Lillie won the 10,000-meter run at the Phil Esten Challenge hosted by UW-La Crosse. Lillie won the event in a time of 32:25.80 as the Blugolds took 1-2-3 in the event.


April 10, 2006 - April 16, 2006


Field: Drew Bingner, Fr., Fort Atkinson, WI

Bingner was a big contributor in the field events at the Blugold Open hosted by UW-Eau Claire. Bingner won the javelin with a winning throw of 157-8 (48.07 m). Bingner also finished sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 163-2 (49.74 m).


Track: Nick Aliota, Jr., Brookfield, WI/Central

Aliota was a part of three top-three finishes at the Blugold Open hosted by UW-Eau Claire. Aliota finished second in the 110-high hurdles with a time of 15.41 seconds and third in the 200-meter dash posting a 22.44. Aliota was also a member of the second place 4 x 400-meter relay team which finished in a time of 3:22.0.


April 3, 2006 - April 9, 2006


Field: Al Oleson, Jr., Wausau, WI/West

Oleson set a NCAA provisional-qualifying mark in the hammer throw as the Blugolds competed at the UW-River Falls Invitational. Oleson finished second in the event with a throw of 171-9 (52.34 m). In the shot put Oleson would again finish second with a toss of 46-7.25 (14.20 m).


Track: Nick Aliota, Jr., Brookfield, WI/Central

Aliota was a part of three top-two finishes at the UW-River Falls Invitational. Aliota won the 110 high hurdles with a time of 15.41 seconds while finishing second in the 200-meter dash in 22.54 and was a member of the second-place 4 x 100-meter relay team recording a time of 42.75.


January 31, 2006 - February 5, 2006


Field: Chris Kupfer, Fr., Germantown, WI

Kupfer won the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.77 at the seven-team Warren Bowlus Open hosted by UW-Stout. Kupfer was two-tenths of a second faster than his next closest competitor. The Blugolds won top team honors by 2.5 points over the host Blue Devils.


Track: Brent Tice, Sr., Colfax, WI

Tice won the shot put with a toss of 47-11.75 (14.62 m) at the seven-team Warren Bowlus Open hosted by UW-Stout. Tice won the event by 7.5 inches over Drew Jones of Hamline (MN) who threw 47-4.25 (14.43 m). The Blugolds won top team honors by 2.5 points over the host Blue Devils.


January 16, 2006 - January 22, 2006


Field: Dan Roemhild, So., Fall Creek, WI

Roemhild won the long jump at the five-team Blugold Open going 21-9.5 (6.64m) to win the event. Roemhild outjumped the next closest competitor by over 2.5 feet.


Track: Nick Aliota, Sprints/Hurdles, Jr., Brookfield, WI/Central

Aliota won both the 55-meter hurdles and the 200-meter run at the five-team Blugold Open. Aliota won the finals of the 55 hurdles with a time of 8.02 after posting a 7.96 in his preliminary run. Aliota won the 200 with a time of 22.85.


January 9, 2006 - January 15, 2006


Track: Nick Aliota, Sprints/Hurdles, Jr., Brookfield, WI/Central

Aliota finished second in the 200-meter dash and sixth in the 60-meter hurdles at the Badger Classic hosted by UW-Madison. In a field featuring several Division I competitors, Aliota finished the 200 in a time of 23.03 seconds. Aliota completed the 60-meter hurdles in 8.74 seconds.


Field: Al Oleson, Throws, Jr., Wausau, WI/West

Oleson won the shot put at the Badger Classic hosted by UW-Madison. The meet included several competitors from Division I Marquette University and UW-Madison. Oleson won the event with a toss of 49-1.5 (14.97 m) defeating second place Nathan Brown of UW-Madison who threw the shot 48-2.5 (14.69 m). Oleson also finished sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 45-7 (13.89 m).
