MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD HANDS OUT AWARDS
EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team recently received their team awards for the 2004 season.
John Schuna (Jr.-Hudson) was named the Most Valuable Player. Schuna currently holds the second best throw in the shot put in the nation with a distance of 58-1 ¼ feet which automatically qualifies him for nationals. Schuna also has the team's best effort in the discus with his throw of 160-11 feet provisionally qualifying him for nationals.
Eric Johnson (So.-Schofield/D.C. Everest) was named the Newcomer of the Year. Johnson has the team's best distance in the long jump at 22-7 feet and the second best distance in the triple jump at 44-5 ¼ feet.
Mike McMahon (Sr.-West Salem) was the recipient of the Captain Award.
