MEN'S TRACK COMPETES IN LA CROSSE
LA CROSSE - The UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team competed in a last chance meet where no team scores were kept Friday at Veteran's Memorial Stadium.
Three Blugolds provisionally qualified for national competition during the meet, headed by John Schuna (So.-Hudson) who qualified in the shot put with a toss of 55-11.75.
John Brumund-Smith (Sr.-Wauakee) also qualified for nationals doing so in the 400 meter hurdles. He covered the distance in 53.63.
The third national qualification came from the Blugolds 4x400 meter relay team that ran the course in a time of 3:17.59.
The Blugolds will next be in action in the Titan Last Chance Meet in Oshkosh on May 17.
