MEN'S DISTANCE MEDLEY TEAM COMPETES AT DRAKE RELAYS

DES MOINES, Iowa - The UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team sent its distance medley relay team to compete at the Dake Relays where the team finished in 13th place here today at Drake Stadium.

The team consists of Jeff Burkart (Jr.-Marshfield), John Brumund-Smith (Sr.-Waunakee), John Tegtmeier (Fr-Appleton/North), and Ben Schmiege (Jr.-Madison/Lakeside Lutheran).

The Blugolds finished in 13th place as they covered the distance of the course in 10:09.34. The relay team from South Dakota State University took home first place with a time of 9:49.37.

The Blugolds will be in action next Friday and Saturday for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Outdoors hosted by UW-Stevens Point.
