SELECT MEN'S TRACK MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN DRAKE RELAYS

DES MOINES, Iowa - Five members of the UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team traveled to Iowa's capitol city to compete in Friday's session of the Drake Relays held at Drake Stadium.

Among the Blugolds competing was 2002 Division III Shot Put Champ John Schuna (So.-Hudson). During Friday's competition the sophomore thrower launched a toss of 52'03.25" which placed him 18th overall.

The other four members competing from Eau Claire were members of the Sprint Medley Relay Team. Adam Sturgis (Fr.-Bruce), Jordan Klein (Fr.-Arcadia), John Brumund-Smith (Sr.-Waunakee), and Zach Severson (Fr.-Sun Prairie) combined for a time of 3:33.09 which was also good for 18th place overall.

The Drake Relays wrap up tomorrow. The only Blugolds competing in tomorrows session of the Drake Relays is the Distance Medley Relay team.
