MEN'S TRACK COMPETES AT MACALESTER TWILIGHT

ST. PAUL, Minn. - The UW-Eau Claire men's track and field team competed at the Macalester Twilight and finished with four top four finishes here today at Macalester College.

Chris King (So-Chippewa Falls) grabbed two of the top four finishes as he took first in the discuss with a throw of 44.18 meter while also taking fourth in the hammer throw with a toss of 44.88 meters.

Jeff Burkart (Jr-Marshfield) also notched a first place finish with a victory in the 1500 meter run. Burkart covered the distance in a time of 4:00.01.

The final top four finish belonged to Sean Gavigan (Sr-Hartland/Arrowhead) who took second in the 800 meter dash with a time of 1:58.86.

The team will next be in action tomorrow and Friday at the Drake Relays.
