MEN'S TENNIS DROPS FIRST MEET OF THE SEASON

WINONA, MN - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team lost its first meet of the season tonight against Winona State by a score of 9-0.

The loss drops the Blugolds to 2-1 on the season and win gives Winona State a 3-1 record overall.

The Blugolds' Jake Znidarsich (So.-La Crosse, WI/Central) at No.2 singles had the best match of night as he lost in a tough three-setter 3-6, 6-3, 7-6.

The No.3 doubles team of C. J. Rose (So.-Apple Valley, MN) and Jeff Peterson (Jr.-Edina, MN) lost its first match of the season by a close score of 8-6.

The team's match against Bethel College last night was cancelled. There has been no rescheduling date set as of yet.

The Blugolds will now return home for their first home meet of the season, as they will host Concordia-Moorhead tomorrow morning at the Eau Claire YMCA Tennis Center. The action begins at 10 a.m.
