MEN'S TENNIS TO HOST BACK TO BACK HOME MEETS

EAU CLAIRE - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team will host Concordia-Moorhead on Sunday morning at the Eau Claire YMCA Tennis Center and then will host Northwestern College at the McPhee Physical Education Center tennis courts on Monday night.

The Blugolds have started out 2-0 in this early season and will look to continue that success. The two home meets will be the final two meets of four-straight days of tennis for the team. The team will travel to play Bethel College tonight and then travel to face Winona State on Saturday.

The men's tennis team has lost only four matches in their first two meets and only two in singles matches. Tim Eisele (So.-Apple Valley, MN), Jake Znidarsich (So.-La Crosse, WI/Central), Steve Lantz (Fr.-Rochester, MN/Century) and Kevin Fawcett (Fr.-Madison, WI/Verona) are all 2-0 on the season in singles play.

The No.3 doubles team of C.J. Rose (So.-Apple Valley, MN) and Jeff Peterson (Jr.-Edina, MN) is 2-0 in doubles action.

The Blugolds opponent on Sunday Concordia-Moorhead lost its season opener to Bethel 7-2. On Saturday, the Cobbers will travel to face UW-Oshkosh and St. Norbert before playing the Blugolds on Sunday.

The Blugolds opponent on Monday night Northwestern College also lost its season opener to Macalester College 9-0. This will be the only Blugold home tennis meet to be held on campus this season.

The Concordia-Moorhead meet will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday morning at the YMCA Tennis Center and the Northwestern College meet will begin at 4 p.m. Monday night in McPhee Physical Education Center
