TEAM AWARDS ANNOUNCED FOR MEN'S TENNIS
The team awards for the UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team were recently given out following the conclusion of the season.
The Most Valuable Singles Player Award went to Bob Hartman (Fr.-McFarland). Hartman went 10-6 on the year while playing mostly in the number six singles position.
Ryan Gruhlke (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) was the recipient of the Most Valuable Doubles Player Award. Gruhlke paired with Chris Slagle (So.-St. Paul, MN/Cretin-Derham Hall) to go 10-8 on the year.
The Most Improved Player Award went to Adam Arians (Jr.-Mankato, MN/Loyola). Arians went 9-13 in single action while pairing with Matt Widder (Jr.-Sheboygan Falls) at one doubles to go 9-12.
Andrew Kallio (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) was given the Team Player Award. Kallio went 8-7 in singles and a combined 7-7 in doubles action.
Tyler Litscher (Fr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) was given the Player to Watch Award. Litscher arrived on the scene to go 8-12 while playing mostly three singles and a combined 10-8 in doubles action.
The Coaches Award was given to Widder. He went 10-12 while switching off between one and two singles and went 9-12 in doubles action with Arians.
