BLUGOLDS FALL TO CAMPBELLSVILLE AND LIMESTONE

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team fell to Campbellsville University 6-1 and lost to Limestone College 6-3 here today.

In the opening match against Campbellsville the Blugolds got their lone singles win from Chris Slagle (So.-St. Paul, MN/Cretin-Durham Hall) at the number six singles position. Slagle defeated Campbellsville's Travis Thompson 6-3, 6-4.

Slagle was involved in Eau Claire's other win at number three doubles. He paired with Ryan Gruhlke (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) to win 8-3.

Both Tyler Litscher (Fr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) at three singles and Adam Arians (Jr.-Mankato, MN/Loyola) at four singles waged hard fought battles but lost their third sets 7-6.

Against Limestone Slagle notched his second win of the day with a 6-4, 6-3 win. Andrew Kallio (Sr.-Eau Claire/Memorial) added another singles win at five singles with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.

The tandem of Kallio and Litscher earned the third win against Limestone with an 8-6 victory.

The losses drop Eau Claire's record to 5-6 on the year.

The Blugolds will travel to Atlanta, Georgia next to take on Emory University Saturday at 9 a.m.
