Women's Gymnastics Head Coach - Jean DeLisle
Jean DeLisle enters her fifth season as the head gymnastics coach at UW-Eau Claire. In 2006, DeLisle received coach of the year honors in the WIAC after leading her team to its fourth straight nationals appearance.
Under DeLisle, the Blugolds qualified for the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) national championships four out of the last five seasons. DeLisle helped lead the Blugolds to their highest finish at the national championships in school history in 2005 with a fourth place finish. Every individual school event record has been broken under DeLisle. In addition the top nine all-time team scoring marks have been set under DeLisle. In her four seasons DeLisle has coached five All-Americans and three conference champions.
Prior to Eau Claire DeLisle was the head gymnastics coach at UW-River Falls from 1992-2002. During that team DeLisle coached the Falcons to two second places finishes at the WIAC Gymnastics Championships in 1993 and 2002. The Falcons qualified for the NCGA Championships as a team both of those seasons. Individually DeLisle coached five conference champions and nine All-Americans including national champion Merilee Healy on the balance beam in 1995.
DeLisle is a graduate of UW-River Falls where she received her bachelor’s degree in physical education in 1987. She and husband Jack have two children, son Jacques and daughter Paris.
