GYMNASTICS FALLS TO GUSTAVUS IN FINAL REGULAR SEASON MEET

ST. PETER, MN - The UW-Eau Claire gymnastics team fell to Gustavus Adolphus tonight in the team's final regular season meet by a close score of 173.875-173.000.

With the loss the Blugolds fall to 7-7 overall this season. The team also falls to 2-2 in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual meets. Gustavus improves to 4-1 in dual meets this season.

The Blugolds' Lynn Morris (Sr.-Monticello, IN/Twin Lakes) won the all-around competition for the sixth time this season with a score of 35.550. Morris finished in first for the Blugolds in the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.175. Morris was also the top Blugold finisher in the balance beam with a score of 8.550.

Theresa Lynch (So.-Vadnais Heights, MN/White Bear) finished second for the Blugolds in the all-around with a score of 34.875. Lynch was the top Blugold finisher in the floor exercise with a score of 9.000.

Angie Cich (So.-Plymouth, MN/Armstrong) finished third for the Blugolds in the all-around with a score of 34.575. Cich finished first in the vault with a score 9.200.

Next, the Blugolds will compete in the WIAC Championships and the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Regionals in Oshkosh next Friday night. The action begins at 6 p.m.
