| Assistant Football Coach - Melvin Shepherd
Melvin Shepherd enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Blugolds. Shepherd will coach the wide receivers.
Prior to Eau Claire Shepherd was a special education teacher at White Bear Lake High School in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Shepherd also served as an assistant football coach where he was in charge of strong safeties. From 1999-2002 Shepherd served as an assistant varsity and head junior varsity football coach at Eau Claire Regis High School. During that time Shepherd helped guide the Ramblers to a state championship in 1999.
Collegiately Shepherd played for UW-Stout where he started at wide receiver and strong safety for the Blue Devils.
Shepherd received his bachelor’s degree in technology education in December 1999 and his master’s of education from UW-Stout in August 2004.
