The Department of Art & Design responds to the needs of a visually-oriented world through instruction in studio art, art history, art education, and the exhibition of art. The faculty's role is augmented by a program of visiting artists and designers who offer their viewpoints to students and the community at large. The Foster Gallery, Fine Arts Center, serves as the showcase for well-known visiting artists as well as area faculty and students.
