Duties:
I primarily work with new and transfer students who have not yet selected a major.  I also coordinate the advising and orientation for Youth Options/High School Special students.

Background:
I grew up in the Midwest and completed a BA in Psychology from Bethel University in 1989.  In 1991, received my Master’s in Counseling and Student Personnel with an emphasis in College Student Development from Minnesota State University - Mankato.

Past Employment (UW - Eau Claire):
1992-1997 Residence Hall Director
1997-1998 Acting Service-Learning Coordinator
1998- 2001 Admissions Counselor/Transfer Coordinator

Interests:
I enjoy a variety of activities including bicycling, kayaking, motorcycling, traveling, and remodeling.

Were you undeclared?
Yes!  I really was unsure what I wanted to do.  It took me a while to figure out a major and I certainly felt the pressure to declare something.

Something fun!
I’ve taken two big motorcycle trips.  In 1995, I drove 12,000 miles around the U.S. camping and exploring the country.  In 1996, I went with my father on a 7,500 mile trip to the Arctic Circle (via Alaska) and back.

Excellence. Our Measure. Our Motto. Our Goal.
