Steps 4: Orientation
To further assist you in your transfer to UW-Eau Claire we will be providing orientation sessions designed to address specific transfer issues and to facilitate a meeting with an academic adviser as you prepare to register for classes. All accepted transfer students are required to attend an orientation program. Information about this orientation program will be sent in a separate mailing. (A registration date and time will be included in your orientation packet.) If you are admitted for the fall semester, information regarding orientation will be mailed to you beginning in March. If you are admitted for the spring semester, information regarding orientation will be mailed to you beginning in October. For further information regarding Orientation, please contact the Orientation Office (715) 836-5053 or visit http://www.uwec.edu/orientation.
Note: Students admitted to the Pre-Collaborative Nursing Program and the Marshfield Pre-Nursing program are not required to attend university transfer orientation. Pre-Collaborative Nursing students are recommended to contact Lorraine Smith (email@example.com) for information on course selection and application to the BSN completion program. Marshfield nursing students are to contact Dr. Robin Beeman (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let her know you have been admitted.
Second Degree Students: If you have earned a bachelor’s degree and are now pursuing a second undergraduate degree you are not required to attend an orientation session. Copies of your transcripts for your first bachelor degree have been sent to an advisor for review. Please see the Second Degree Advisors list for information about meeting with an advisor to discuss course requirements and the registration process. Please set up a meeting with your advisor listed.
