Business Analysis Emphasis
Year in School: Junior
Hometown: Shell Lake, WI
Where will you live in the fall? Towers South Hall
Any comment on the residence halls experience? It is quite an unique experience with so many people of roughly the same age living together in a community. I personally have had a blast living on campus where there is that opportunity to go visit all your friends and be there in less than 5 minutes!
What activities/organizations are you involved in? Singing Statesmen, multiple intramural sports, Freshmen Connection, Environmental Adventure Center Trips
What’s on your Ipod right now? Well, I actually don’t have an Ipod, but if I did I definitely would have all kinds of acapella music
Where do you work during school? Resident Assistant in Towers South, Environmental Adventure Center Trip Leader/Rental Desk Worker, Admissions Internship
Best place to study: The 24-hour study lounge in the Towers basement
Best thing/place to eat on campus: Tortellini pasta from the Hilltop Food Court
Best place to eat in Eau Claire: Milwaukee Burger Co.!!!!
Favorite thing to do when you get free time: Hanging out with friends around campus
Favorite activity/place off-campus: Cliff jumping at Mount Simon
Favorite activity/place on-campus: The multiple performances at The Cabin down in the Davies Center on lower campus
Best class so far: CJ 202 (Public Speaking), I feel that this class gave me a great opportunity to meet some great people and learn a lot too.
Best professor: Blake Westerlund because he is hilarious, very supportive, and made his class as interesting as possible to keep us awake because it started at 7AM
Best thing about being a student at UWEC: The opportunity to be involved in music and see it performed. This is “Wisconsin’s Singing University” and the jazz bands are amazing (along with all the other ensembles of course)!
Best reason to stay up until 2a.m.: Ordering late-night Topper’s!
Why did you pick UWEC? I love the beauty of the campus and it was not too far from home. I wanted to sing and this university gave me the opportunity to sing and not have to be a music major to do so.
Best advice for getting the most out of college: Take on every opportunity that is given to you. Keep your door open if you live in the dorms and stay involved so you can meet more people. You also need to be willing to adapt.
Best Blugold tradition/event: The Viennese Ball! Why you want to be on my tour (5 words or less) : This campus is BEAUTIFUL!!!
