Activities/Orgs: Campus Ambassadors, Phase II Freshmen Orientation, and the Ecumenical Religious Center. I also was on the UW-Eau Claire wrestling team and I am planning to go on a biology research trip to Ecuador!
Favorite activity/place off-campus: Floating down the Chippewa River with some good friends on a beautiful hot summer day!
Favorite activity/place on-campus: My favorite place on campus is along the cliff side trail in Putnam Park that overlooks the Chippewa River. I guess I really like that river :)
Best thing/place to eat on campus: I am an absolute fool for the Italian meatball sub sandwiches that they serve in the food court!
What's on your Ipod: I have a little bit of everything on my Ipod, but I enjoy mostly country, rock, and oldies music.
Best professor: My Cell Biology and Genetics professor Dr. Rudy Buiser. This guy could probably teach the Krebs cycle to a chimpanzee!
Have you ever had a celebrity encounter: I had a dream that I met Eddie Murphy and let's just say it was a really funny dream and I was laughing a lot. Does that count as an encounter?
Best advice for getting the most out of college: Look for activities, groups, organizations, etc. that interest you. Get involved with them right away. However, do not lose focus of why you are in college. Get to know your professors because only good things can come from seeking their attention.
Best memory/experience in college so far: So far, it has actually been my entire time spent living in the residence halls. I have met some amazing people, have been involved with my residence hall life, and it seems as there is always something to do or someone to hang out with.
Why you want to come visit campus: I want to help students take the guess work out of the equation when trying to decide on which college to attend. I will show everyone why UW-Eau Claire is a great place by showing and telling all of the nice features we have to offer to our students. And, of course we will have a little fun too!
