emailMajor: Accounting & Organizational Communication (double major)
Year in School: Senior
Hometown: La Crescent, MN

Activities/Orgs:
Honors Program, Symphonic Choir, Singing Statesmen, Theatre, Student Accounting Society, Campus Ambassadors, Hall Council, New Student Orientation, and a First Year Experience (FYE) mentor.  I have been a lifeguard and building manager on campus as well as a resident assistant (RA).

One thing students MUST experience as a Blugold: Go and watch at least one concert from our five incredible a cappella groups!

What's on your Ipod right now: It's actually a Sansa brand, but it is on shuffle. The current song is "Ooh Aah" by The Grits.

Favorite place on campus: The library of course! :)  Okay, just kidding.  I love the Putnam Trail.  It has just over two miles of beautiful scenery to run or bike through right here on campus.

Best class/professor so far: Spanish 102 with Carter Smith. Great interaction, fun, and entertaining.

Have you ever had a celebrity encounter: When I was young, my family went to the traveling show of "Family Double Dare" and got to play one of the dares.  While on stage, we met the host, Marc Summers!

Why did you pick UWEC: I chose UW-Eau Claire for 3 main reasons. First, it is great general education college. As an incoming undeclared student, I wanted a liberal arts college that would help me decide on an appropriate major. Second, the welcoming atmosphere you get from UW-Eau Claire was unmatched by any other campus I visited. Third, the campus and city of Eau Claire is absolutely beautiful. I knew that this would be a great place to live for the next era of my life.

Best advice for getting the most out of college: Be true to yourself while figuring out who you are. While there are almost infinite opportunities to try new things and develop yourself as an independent adult, always remember where you came from and stand for what you believe in.

Best memory/experience in college so far: Just living in the residence halls. The experience of having all of your closest friends living in the same building along with over 300 other people is extremely exciting for me.  There is always something to do, always someone new to meet, and always a friend to lean on.

Why you want to be on my tour in 5 words: Experience people and beauty firsthand.

Any last thoughts: Having lived both on and off campus, I want to stress that both the Eau Claire campus and city are great places to live and offer a wide variety of fun opportunities.  I wouldn't change a thing about my last four years.

Excellence. Our Measure. Our Motto. Our Goal.
