Organizational Leadership and Communication (online program)
Designed for busy adults like you, the fully online Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership and Communication (BPS) degree completion program provides the practical knowledge and professional skills necessary to succeed or advance in your career in a wide variety of areas, including:

The degree focuses on communication, business, management, leadership, and information literacy, with an emphasis on using these skills in real-world settings.
Why UW-Eau Claire
This is the first Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in the UW System. It combines the best of a traditional liberal arts education, ensuring intellectual flexibility and multicultural competence, with real-world skills. The unique curriculum builds on the strengths and distinctive signature of UW-Eau Claire, including service-learning and faculty-student collaborative research.
The program is completely online; there are no on-campus meetings or requirements. Books and materials are handled through an online bookstore.
Who can apply?
The Bachelor of Professional Studies in Organizational Leadership and Communication allows adults like you to work on your degree and career goals at the same time. If you completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree from the University of Wisconsin Colleges, please apply directly to the program.
If you completed an Associate of Arts and Sciences or Associate of Sciences degree from another academic institution or have comparable credits, just call us to find out how your work may transfer. You are eligible for admission to this degree if you have completed at least 60 semester credits of transferable coursework with a 2.0 or better grade-point average (GPA).
If you don’t already have an associate degree, you can begin classes at any UW campus or UW Colleges online.
The Bachelor of Professional Studies: Comprehensive Major in Organizational Leadership and Communication is a fully accredited degree program. This program is approved by the UW System Board of Regents and accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
When can I start?
You may start the program at the beginning of any semester. Eight-week courses mean you can fit four into the time frame of a regular semester.
How long do I have to earn my degree?
There is no completion deadline. You may take as many semesters as you need to earn your degree.

Some Bachelor of Professional Studies courses have prerequisites. If you have not completed some or all of the prerequisites as part of an associate degree or prior course work, you will need to complete them before taking specific courses. UW campus equivalents or other college/university equivalents may be substituted.

Admission requirementsYou must apply to the Bachelor of Professional Studies program through UW-Eau Claire. Use the Electronic Application for Admission, https://apply.wisconsin.edu/ and submit your nonrefundable $44 application fee* as well as your official college and high school transcripts.
*The fee is not required if the last institution that you attended was a two-year UW Colleges campus. The fee is required if you are transferring between UW System four-year campuses or if you have never attended a UW System campus.
