Works primarily with: Freshmen in southeastern Wisconsin and the Fox Valley
Outside interests include: Getting involved around town, inviting friends over and cooking dinner together, traveling, reading and dancing.
Fun Fact: When I was a student at UW-Eau Claire I was one of the student instructors for Two To Tango, our on-campus ballroom dance club!
Education: BA in Spanish and minor in Ancient Studies from UW-Eau Claire
Favorite campus event: Viennese Ball
Best thing about UW-Eau Claire: The variety of opportunities available. There is SO MUCH to get involved in on campus and in Eau Claire that I really challenge each of you to step out of your comfort zone and either join a new club or organization, study abroad or find an internship before you graduate.
Favorite spot in Eau Claire: Phoenix Park
What's on my Ipod? A lot! But recently I've been playing a lot of Simon and Garfunkel, Mana and soundtracks from a variety of different musicals. In the tape player in my car though ----- yep, that's right, still sporting the cassette tapes when I drive to high school visits and college fairs :) --- is a Diana Ross and the Supremes tape that gets a lot of use.
Best book I read in college? I took a few literature courses here and one of the best books I read was The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick. It's an alternate-history novel about what the United States would have been like if the Allies lost World War II. Really interesting book.
