Where will you live in the fall: Off Campus in a house with 6 other people!

What activities/organizations are you involved in: President of the Black Student Association, Pre-Med club, Biology club, student-faculty research and Campus Ambassadors. Also, Blugold Beginnings were we go to local high schools and tutor and become mentors to the students!

If you work during school, where: I work as a tutor on and off campus. I also am an in-home CAREgiver for elderly and work in temptation: the shoe department at Macy’s!

Best place to study: My favorite place to study is 2nd floor of the library! This is where all my friends go, so I kind of follow them because if I see them getting their work done, I’m more likely to get mine done! Anywhere else has too many distractions for me.

Best thing/place to eat on campus: I LOVE Pacific Traders on lower campus! They have “make your own stir fry” and it is the best! I eat there at least once a week!

Best place to eat in Eau Claire: If I’m not paying (such as when my parents are in town!) my favorite place to eat is Mona Lisa’s. They have the most amazing Italian food!

Favorite thing to do when you get free time: Play outside with my friends, anywhere from biking the trails, to playing tennis or volleyball. Whenever the weather is nice, you will find me outside!

Favorite activity/place on-campus: The Campus Mall! On a warm day you just lay out and you’re guaranteed to see someone you know! They have live bands playing and barbeques! It’s a great place to relax in between classes!

Best professor so far: Dr. Lonzarich in the biology department. During finals week he filled our lab with snacks and coffee, made it our getaway spot, and was there most of the time to help us through the week. To this day, I see him all the time and he always has a big smile and big news to share on a new fish research project!! =)

Best thing about being a student at UWEC: The professor-student relationships and research experiences you get! There are so many opportunities for you to develop your professional life and help build your resume!

Best reason to stay up until 2 a.m.:  Horror movie marathons with—fully equipped with chips and snacks!

Why did you pick UWEC: One major factor was the campus itself. I liked the fact that the academic buildings and the resident’s halls are separated by the hill; so when you wake up and open your door, your biology lecture hall isn’t right next to you. It separates class and living and I loved that part.

Best memory/experience in college so far: The week before finals my freshman year, me and a group of girls from my floor just about had it with finals and papers and school, so in order to refocus ourselves we took a night off from studying and had a horror movie festival. We stayed up all night scaring ourselves silly and screaming at the top of our lungs. We got yelled at a couple times for the screams; but hey, it was worth it :)
