What was your residence hall experience like on campus?
I met some of the best people I could possibly imagine while in the residence halls, and I'm sure they will be lifelong friends. The Resident Assistants are awesome too, because they take the time to connect with you and set up fun events for the entire floor to be a part of.
What activities/organizations are you involved in?
Currently, I am an active member of four organizations on campus, and I've had so many great opportunities in each of them. Men's Club Lacrosse (Vice President), Pi Sigma Epsilon (Director of Recruiting), UWEC Sales Team, and Campus Ambassadors. Leadership development opportunities are another way to become even more involved with an organization, and offer students a great resume builder and networking opportunity.
What's your favorite Blugold tradition?
My favorite Blugold tradition is the Blugold Organization Bash (BOB) in both the fall and spring. All 270 student organizations set up booths and recruit new members into their respective groups. It's an awesome opportunity to meet new people and become a part of something that could allow you to meet new people, get an internship, or travel to another country!
My favorite class was also my most challenging class. Calculus pushed me farther than any class has before, but with a professor so committed to my understanding, I was able to finish out the semester on top!
Where's your favorite local hotspot?
The Altoona Family Restaurant is an awesome place to go with friends on a weekend morning for a delicious breakfast. My roommates and I try to make it at least once a month!
