What activities/organizations are you involved in?
Blugold Softball, Campus Ambassadors, Athletes In Action, Cru, Public Relations Student Society of America, University Honors Program, National Society of Leadership and Success. I also have been in Women’s Concert Chorale (WOCO), Symphonic Choir, Women’s Chorus, and have been an RA in Oak Ridge Hall.

What's your favorite Blugold tradition? 
My favorite traditions have to do with the softball team. Every year, we travel down south over Spring Break to play ten games. I’ve gotten to travel to Florida twice and Arizona once. I’ve made so many memories with my teammates on those trips! We also do community service on our trips each year, which is a really great experience. This past year, we volunteered at a place called Give Kids the World in Orlando that brings children with terminal illnesses to Disney World. It was great to give back!

What has been your best class so far?
Environmental Geology with Kent Syverson has definitely been my favorite class. He is such a caring individual for his students, geology, and the environment. The class was a challenge, but an enjoyable one. He made all the topics interesting and presented material in a way that was memorable and entertaining. 

Where’s your favorite local hotspot?
My favorite hotspot is Great Harvest Bread Company. It’s a delicious bakery off campus that makes fresh bread every day and daily specials throughout the year. They have great bread, fresh granola, soups, and coffee. My favorite is their apple crunch bread—YUM!

Why did you choose UWEC?
I chose UWEC because I knew I wanted to get a great education and play Division III athletics. I had always been attracted to UWEC because of the beautiful campus as well. I loved the softball program, academic reputation, and feel of the entire community.

I go to our Blugold softball games. Being on the Blugold Fastpitch Softball team, I feel so much pride when we pull through from behind, get a clutch hit, and show our Blugold spirit on the field! I love being a part of our awesome group of student-athletes. I am proud of all the coaches and athletes for contributing to such solid programs!
