Purpose of the Organization
An international movement located in over 100 countries around the world that has served communities in western Wisconsin for 100 years. Last year more than 300,000 meals were served to more than 40,000 people. Shelter was provided for 1,000 individuals, who were helped in finding jobs and taking control of their lives. The Salvation Army has a long history of service that is founded in Christian faith and doctrine.
Volunteer Opportunities Available
> Food Pantry Assistant — Responsible for intake work of new program participants,
assisting food pantry participants, stocking food pantry shelves, packing food bags,
and other miscellaneous related to the food pantry, as assigned.
> Thrift Store Team Member — Sort donations, complete rag truck work, price items,
clean, and help pick up donations when needed.
> Office Assistant — Answer the telephone, greet program patrons, answer frequently
asked questions, assist with social services intake, and other miscellaneous
administrative tasks, as assigned.
