Purpose of the Organization
Dedicated to building a safer community by discouraging crime, restoring victim well-being and emphasizing direct offender accountability.
Volunteer Opportunities Available
> Accountability Mentor — Meet with at-risk youth ages 12 to 16 at school once weekly. Together work on identifying strengths, developing empathy and accountability among other topics. This position requires at least a one-year commitment.
> Accountability Workshop Facilitator — Facilitate workshops for small groups of juvenile offenders with ECCRJP staff. Topics include choice-making, accountability, values and empathy. Workshops are Tuesday evenings 5:30–8:30 p.m. during the school year.
> Victim Offender Conference Facilitator — Coordinate and facilitate meetings between victims of crime and the offender(s) in their case. Responsible for conducting preconference interviews with each party individually to explain process and ensure a safe conference environment. This position requires at least a one-year commitment.
