Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential) wrote and directed this period drama about two men — the great Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) and legendary Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford) — whose stand against prejudice changed the world by changing the game of baseball. Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle called it “a superior sports movie, dealing honestly with a great American story.”
