This sci-fi actioner travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. While Cobb’s rare talent has made him a coveted player in the treacherous new world of corporate espionage, it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Cobb is offered a chance at redemption when he and his team of specialists are asked pull off the perfest heist in reverse: inception. As the team members go about their task — not to steal an idea but to plant one — no amount of planning or expertise prepares them for an enemy able to predict their every move. Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ken Watanabe costar.

"The story can either be told in a few sentences, or not told at all. Here is a movie immune to spoilers: If you knew how it ended, that would tell you nothing unless you knew how it got there. And telling you how it got there would produce bafflement. The movie is all about process, about fighting our way through enveloping sheets of reality and dream, reality within dreams, dreams without reality. It’s a breathtaking juggling act, and Nolan may have considered his Memento (2000) a warm-up; he apparently started this screenplay while filming that one." — Roger Ebert
