The 48-Hour Video Project offers students and community members the opportunity to share their knowledge, skills and love of filmmaking — on a very tight deadline. Participants will have 48 hours to write, record and edit a short film (not to exceed 10 minutes) related to the project theme, Monsters and Magic.

At 7 p.m. on Friday, October 18, participants will meet and register in the east lobby of Davies Center, near the Service Center. They will receive a line of dialogue, a prop, and a character name to be included in the film. Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, participants will have 48 hours to create their film. Videos must be submitted no later than 9 p.m. Sunday.

Over the following week a panel of judges will deliberate and determine winners in
10 award categories.

OFFICIAL SCREENING + AWARDS CEREMONY

Woodland Theater  >  6 p.m.


All completed projects will be presented at the official screening on Halloween Eve. Project participants will be recognized for their efforts, and awards will be presented. Refreshments will be served at a reception in the theater lobby following the awards presentation.
