College Awards

The College Excellence Awards are selected by representatives from each respective college. Please contact the dean of the respective college to inquire about the nomination process for these awards.

Outstanding Undergraduate Student

This award is presented to an outstanding undergraduate student from each of the four colleges who will be graduating in May or December 2013. The recipient has demonstrated consistent excellence in academics, leadership and service. Only faculty and staff in the respective college may submit nominations and a selection committee appointed by the dean of the college will choose the recipient. One student will receive $500.

Outstanding Graduate Student

This award is presented to an outstanding graduate student from each of the four colleges who will be graduating in May or December 2013. The recipient has demonstrated consistent excellence in academics, leadership and service. Only faculty and staff in the respective college may submit nominations and a selection committee appointed by the dean of the college will choose the recipient. One student will receive $500.

Emerging Leader

This award is presented to a current student in each of the four colleges who is not graduating in 2013 and who has shown early leadership and potential for success. Only faculty and staff in the respective college may submit nominations and a selection committee appointed by the dean of the college will choose the recipient. One student will receive $250. Last year’s winners are not eligible for this year’s award.
