Activities, Involvement, & Leadership Office Program Associate
Deanna joined the Activities, Involvement and Leadership staff in February 2015. She provides administrative and program support to the AIL office with a focus on the BluSync student organization management system. Deanna received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications, with a business minor, from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in May 2008. Previous to working at UW- Eau Claire, Deanna worked for the past six years in the Student Affairs side of higher education as Housing and Residence Life Hall Director at UW Marathon County and UW- Superior Assistant Director of Residence Life. Deanna brings knowledge and experience in the field of student development and leadership, policy development, judicial affairs, academic achievement support and diversity awareness to the AIL office. When outside the office, Deanna enjoys spending time in the outdoors, baking, and being with her two sons.
Financial Specialist and Office Manager
Tina Killey joined the staff of the Activities, Involvement and Leadership office in 1997. She monitors and reconciles the Activities, Involvement and Leadership budgets including the Artists Series, Cabaret, Commencement, The Forum, International Film Society, the University Activities Commission and the Viennese Ball. She is currently the sole administrative support to the Activities, Involvement and Leadership coordinators.
Before coming to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Tina was employed for seven years with the Wisconsin State Patrol, and prior to that she worked in the Eau Claire County District Attorney’s office. Since 1995 Tina has been the newsletter editor and a member of the board of the Indianhead Track Club, and she was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2008. Tina also manages the women’s adult hockey league The Altoona Blades, a team she has played with since 2001. Tina is married to John Killey, owner of John Killey Insurance Agency, and has three children. Billy and Kateri Hanson are both students at Winona State University, and Isabella is in elementary school.

Sara Thommesen began her employment at UW-Eau Claire in 1998. She is responsible for the advisement and oversight of 280 student organizations at UW-Eau Claire and manages the Student Organizations and Leadership Center.
