New Instructional Staff Information

Welcome

Welcome to the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire! This site has been developed to assist you in feeling at home on our campus and in our community.

The orientation program designed to acquaint you with the University, help prepare you to teach your classes, and offer the opportunity to meet other faculty and staff will take place from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Ho-Chunk Room, Davies Center) and from 1:00 to 4:00 pm (1704 Centennial Hall) on Monday, August 22, 2016. Parking permits for the day will be available as you enter Davies Center. Please park in the Phillips Lot. The orientation program involves a walking and discussion tour, so please dress casually, wear comfortable shoes, and let us know if you will need special accommodations. For more specific information on orientation, please check the New Instructor Information page on the CETL (Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning) website: http://www.uwec.edu/cetl/index.htm.

The Opening Academic Year Calendar includes a schedule of events for the first weeks of the academic year.

We know that you have many unanswered questions. Check out the New Faculty/Staff Survival Guide. We hope it will address your most immediate concerns.

We have also put together a Faculty and Staff Information Manual with more extensive information about our institution and the surrounding area; things that you may not need right now. Hopefully it will be helpful to you as you establish your career and life in Eau Claire.

If at any time you need more information, please feel free to contact Academic Affairs as listed below. Again, welcome to our community!
