Function:

  • Serve as the steering committee for electronic communications and publications.
  • Formulate and recommend guidelines and principles to which the university's electronic communications and publications should adhere. These should encompass, but not limited to, accessibility for individuals with disabilities, conditions under which web sties should be developed, design issues, transitioning from print to electronic distribution of official university information, electronic records retention and intellectual property.
  • Consult with appropriate university administrative offices and governance bodies in seeking input and in developing recommendations including but not limited to, University Senate, Student Senate, Deans, Directors, Department Chairs/unit heads, faculty, staff and appropriate technology committees.
  • Use existing plans, such as the Information Technology Strategic Plan and the University five-year Strategic Plan, identify issues that fall within the purview of the committee and develop guidelines and principles for addressing those issues.
  • Recommend an appropriate framework with which to plan resource allocation for existing and future electronic communications and publications needs.

  5. Representative from the Library
  6. Web Coordinator
  7. Representative from the Student Information Technology Council
  8. Representative from the University Senate Technology Committee
  9. Representative from the Advisory Committee on Persons with Disabilities
  10. Representative from Business and Student Services

Chair: Appointed by the Provost and Vice Chancellor's Office
