Information for High School Seniors

UWEC has a very competitive collegiate program. We compete September to April traveling almost every weekend. By no means are you expected (or wanted) to travel every weekend, but, who knows, you might get hooked.

If you have never had experience in forensics or speech, take a few minutes to read the section on events. If a few sound like fun, this is for you. When registering for classes, sign up for CJ 100 - Intro to Forensics.

If you have experience in high school, that's great! But, there is still much more to learn about professional speaking and interpretative performance.  That's where we come in. As a competitive speech team, we attend two national tournaments a year. For the past ten years, the UWEC tradition has won the Wisconsin State Tournament 17 years running and has a perennial place in the top ten nationally. Eau Claire Forensics lives by two rules: Be proud of what you do and don't take out junk. If this sounds like your kind of place, then get in contact with us!

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire offers scholarships to students involved competitively in intercollegiate forensics. Students who are interested should print out and complete this application form as well as a video of at least six minutes of a performance (if you have multiple performances, then do a selection of each), and mail to:

UWEC Forensics
