MAFL 3 & 4 - Wisconsin Swing
October 13-14, 2007

Dear Colleagues:

MAFL #3 and # 4 will be the Wisconsin-Swing.  MAFL #3 will be hosted by UW-Stout (Menomonie, WI) on Saturday, October, 13th, and MAFL #4 will be hosted by UW-Eau Claire on Sunday, October 14th. These two campuses are just 20 minutes apart.  Thank you in advance to Sue and Steve Collie at UW-Stout and Kelly Jo Wright at UWEC for hosting these two tournaments.  Remember that this swing (MAFL 3 and 4) and the next swing (MAFL 5 and 6 in Dekalb) will offer Novice Finals (someone in their first or second year of competition).

Novice Finals will be based on the following:

1.  Coaches should identify novices on the entry.

2.  If there are 12 novices in an event, the top 6 novice (not advancing to open final) will               compete their own final round

3.  Paper certificates will be awarded for these top 6.

4.  The novice final round will not count as a qualification for NFA or AFA.
