The UW-Eau Claire forensics team, Wisconsin state champions for 19 consecutive years, is looking forward to a year preparing for the NFA and AFA-NIET national tournaments. This year, the team will be traveling to tournaments all over the country to qualify for nationals, and will ultimately make their way to Texas for the AFA-NIET, and to Ohio for NFA.

The 2011-2012 season has gained a lot of attention for the team. The UWEC Forensics Team placed 5th at the 2011 L.E. Norton held at Bradley University; a nation-wide tournament, and 5th at the Hell Froze Over tournament in Austin, Texas. Along with this amazing success, the team has placed top three consecutively at many tournaments so far this season. With only a few tournaments left in the semester, the team is excitedly preparing for nationals!

Look at that! The UWEC Forensics Team has been highlighted in the November 17, 2011 issue of the UWEC Spectator Newspaper. Want to read the entire article? Click here to read.
The team meets every Monday night in room HHH 216 at 5pm. If you are interested in joining, or just learning about the dynamics of the UW-Eau Claire's Forensics program, stop by at one of the meetings or contact the Director of Forensics, Karen Morris at the email listed below.
The UW - Eau Claire's Forensics team is a collegiate speech team which competes throughout the year at 11 different tournaments across the country. There are a total of 11 different events in which students participate in, including limited prep, public address, and interpretation events.
Additionally, the UW-Eau Claire's Forensics team is one of the only programs in the country that have attended both of the national tournaments throughout their existence. The team attended the first ever AFA-NIET and has annually since. Additionally, the team has attended the NFA national tournament since it's second year. The program has a long history and legacy that exists as the team's foundation, which is built upon every year by each new team and new talent.
